Roman cooking is mainly dominated by the earthy cooking of the working class. The tradition of Roman food is of course based also on pasta with dishes as Carbonara, Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe (This one is more connected to the traditions of the surroundings of Rome in the region of Lazio), but the most famous surely are Coda alla Vaccinara, Carciofi alla Giudea, Fiori di Zucca, Abbacchio al Forno.

Some General Suggestions to eat in Rome:
1) Do not trust the restaurants with people outside inviting to enter. It never happens with the traditional restaurants of Rome where it is usually the opposite, if you do not book or waitoften at least 30 minutes there is no chance to sit and eat.
2)The menu should be in italian. It happens sometimes to get translations also in good restaurants, but the real roman trattoria or pizzeria do not have menu in other languages .Probably there will be more problems in choosing, but the food will be for sure good and typical.
3)Pane e Coperto charge is not anymore allowed in the bill in Rome. Every price should be fully included in the Menu.
